Our Volunteers - Carol Tully
Hi, my name is Carol Tully, I'm 63 years old, married to Roger Tully (45years)and have five children, 4 boys and a girl ranging in age from 44 down to 30.
The reason I got involved in working with the "Hearts of America" project
was my son, Brian (pictured) was in Iraq when Amy was first organizing this effort. Even though he was in an area where he didn't have the needs these other soldiers had, I wanted to do what I could to help. My health limits me to what I can do, but I had lots of material so I made 10 pillows, 8x12, with pillow cases. The soldiers need these to in their backpacks when they go out on the field duty as they are not issued anything like this.
Anything as we civillians, can do to make their life a little easier is time
well spent. I also enjoy helping with money raising events (concession
stands) and collecting items from garage sales to send to our troops. Our
hope is that we'll be able to bring our troops home so our services wont be
needed much longer. Support Our Troops!
