About Us

Our project actually began as a family effort. Danny, an American soldier married to the cousin of the "Hearts of America" foundation founder, asked his wife to have friends and family send small toys (similar to the small toys in kid’s meals at restaurants) for the Iraqi children. His wife began the task of getting others involved in collecting these toys. Little did she know that her cousin was about to give new life to this wonderful cause.

Amy PadenAmy Paden of Central Kansas was more than glad to
help her cousin Anna in gathering toys to send. However as one donation led to another, Amy realized that she wanted to do even more for our troops in the Middle East. Amy has since become the organizer and founder of the project known as "Hearts of America." What began as a family and community effort, has grown into a state and nationwide effort.

"Hearts of America" is all about gathering items for our military men and women serving in the Middle East. The project entails sending items such as hygiene items, treats, blankets, new black socks, and small size pillows. We also try to fulfill special requests, and provide items for humanitarian efforts such as school supplies, shoes, small size stuffed animals, and fast food size toys.

If you are looking for a fulfilling and life changing experience, this project is for you! No matter how young or old you are there is a place for you. The project is very flexible, completely volunteer at this time and it requires no membership dues. Many people of all walks of life have participated in some shape or form. Some participants are veterans themselves or maybe even have a family member, loved one or friend now. As the number of deployed soldiers continues to rise, most of us know of someone either directly or indirectly affected by the buildup of troops in the Middle East. For others, this project is an outlet to contribute toward something to our servicemen and women.

Please join me for I firmly believe, "Together we can bring smiles and make a difference to generations." We hope to hear from you soon!!!
